Chorus started in January 2013 with a mission to revitalize music education. Since then, we have become one of the fastest growing music schools in Woodbridge (Vaughan), with over 400 active students, a large team of university educated and/or certified teachers and a broad offering of programs and services from pre-school through to music production.

A great deal of thought, planning and expertise was involved in constructing the spacious, acoustically treated and soundproof studios at Chorus Music, resulting in a state-of-the-art music school like no other. Each room has been designed with a specific purpose in mind, with acoustic consultation from the engineers who worked on Brampton’s Rose Theatre. In other words, Chorus was made for music. Our unique and refreshing approach to music education focuses on broadening students' musical horizons while providing them with a quality musical foundation still rooted in classical tradition. Featuring a professional, fully equipped performance space and a recording studio on site, we provide an unparalleled environment to learn, perform and record for students, musicians and artists of all ages, interests and skill levels.
Director
Nita is the owner and director of Chorus Music and responsible for the operational and educational initiatives at the academy. As a seasoned entrepreneur, she has over 25 years of experience in customer service, senior management and quality system auditing. Nita has a degree in psychology and economics, is a certified ISO9000 quality management system auditor, and has participated in numerous excellence in customer service seminars and workshops.
Nita changed her career path and started the academy based on her family’s passion for music and commitment to quality music education. Teaming up with her son Neel, a talented musician and instructor, and with the support of her husband and daughter, Chorus Music was built as a state-of-the-art facility offering world class programs. As a hands on owner, Nita is fully involved in the day to day operations of the academy and strives on providing an exceptional learning environment, enriching programs with performance opportunities, certified and trained instructors, and consistently high level of service. Artistic Director, Instructor & Workshop Facilitator
Neel is a passionate and talented musician, educator and entrepreneur. As our Artistic Director, he is responsible for pioneering, developing and overseeing the academy's musical and artistic initiatives, which are redefining and revitalizing music education in Vaughan and beyond. A virtuosic and gifted composer, producer, performer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Neel is proficient on over 20 instruments, including but not limited to guitar, drum set, percussion, didgeridoo, ukulele, keyboards, synthesizers and other electronic hardware, as well as in digital music, specifically controllerism and production. Neel holds a Specialized Honours BFA in Classical Guitar & World Music Performance, as well as an MA in Ethnomusicology from York University. Neel's foundation in Western Classical music, matched with his broad knowledge of both traditional and popular music from around the world, from West African Mande music South Indian (Karnatak) drumming, and Aboriginal Australian music to the blues, hip hop and EDM, has contributed to his hybrid approach and unique sound, which spans time, genre and other boundaries. An accomplished and highly certified educator, Neel is an RCM certified instructor, as well as a Yamaha certified instructor for Music Wonderland, JMC, Guitar and Drums.
